I arrived in Bangkok close to midnight and had arranged for a car to meet me. The driver was there and well-marked and gave me a very pleasant ride to the hotel, which is about two blocks from Patpong. The neighborhood is vibrant and filled with great restaurants and wonderful shopping. The staff, even in the middle of the night, was courteous and made the check-in procedure very easy. My room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The 24-hour security made me feel very safe and comfortable, despite the huge amounts of foot traffic outside the hotel. The laundry service was easy to use and timely, the pool and hot tub were lovely and pleasant. The spa had excellent service, even on short notice (I had a 2 hour Thai massage, which was spectacular). I also ate at the poolside restaurant, which was very tasty. Breakfast had both Thai and Western options, which was a nice, slow introduction. I highly recommend the Siam Heritage.

I travel to Bangkok frequently and normally keep trying out new hotels. This time I stayed at the Siam Heritage. I found the rates to be very reasonable as I only paid 68 USD for the room per night. In the well equipped and clean rooms I always felt comfortable and for a 3-star hotel, the Siam Heritage is a good deal. The staff and service were OK although some had a bit of a problem speaking English. This was a minor concern though and not a problem. The area is pretty good. It is close to famous Patpong Road where there was a nice night market with very good shopping options and for god prices (when you are good at bargaining). The skytrain is also right there so it was very convenient to move around the city.
