The Amari Don Muang was recently renamed. Before it was right next to the airport but as the airport moved to the new Suvarnabhumi airport it cannot really be called airport hotel anymore even though, there are still some flights going from Don Muang. I was visiting a friend who lives in the area, so I chose to stay here anyway. The Amari is still a good hotel, just like other Amari hotels. For thie Don Muang area in Bangkok this hotel doesn't have any competition in my opinion.

The Amari Don Muang Hotel is a great way to spend a relaxing holiday out of the bustling Bangkok city. Till recently, it was a Bangkok airport hotel, but not since the airport was relocated. However, though the location is a bit far and out of town, the hotel itself is very nice. It has all the facilities and room amenities to make your stay pleasurable. The room is clean with modern furnishing and very comfortable. The best part was the buffet breakfast. There was a wide selection of items including various Asian and Western choices. The pool area is extremely clean and though we didn't take a swim, we were happy just relaxing there.
