I stayed at Comfort Suites Airport on most of my stays at Bangkok for very simple reasons: the hotel is well located, the staff are courteous and friendly, and the amenities (such as gym, pool, executive club etc) are excellent. In addition, the hotel serves a hearty breakfast! It's a great place to stay if you have only a few days to spend and discover Bangkok: its close promixity to major shopping belts such as Siam Paragon, Siam Square, the Sala Daeng area saves you a lot of time on transport and more importantly, avoiding the notorious traffic jams in the city!

The only thing good about the Comfort Suites Hotel is that it is close to the airport. However, because of the roads, while it only takes about five minutes to get there from the airport, it takes fifteen to get to the airport. Rooms were large, but not particularly clean. Make sure to request that you do not stay on the first floor as the room I had was much worse than the room I had on the fourth floor, though neither was great. Airport noise kept me up for the few hours I was there (middle of the night both nights), but this probably changes with the winds. This was the most expensive place I stayed in Thailand and was not even close to the nicest.
