We stayed at the hotel Porto Mare Funchal in February of this year and I had a good time. The room was a very nice standard with a balcony looking out over the gardens towards the sea. The hotel has excellent outdoor and indoor pools both of a good size. This hotel is close to the beach and shopping area with a good location. The staffs are very helpful and know a lot about the area and its attractions, a good way to drive you into the city.
