As I was in the States on a holiday I took 2 days to visit the capital as i figured one should have seen Washington at least once. I booked the Holiday Inn Georgetown which is mid-range and hoped for the best. The standards seem to be very good in the USA as the Holiday Inn Georgetown was real nice....
