One of the newest hotels that we have added is the Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel in Bangkok. It is a brand new 4-star Hotel that is located right on Sukhumvit Road close to Siam Square, Bangkok’s biggest shopping area . There are many restaurants and entertainment options available nearby.

Managed by the Sofitel Hotel group, the Grand Sukhumvit Hotel oozes style and luxury with all the facilities that you would expect from a hotel in this class.
There are 2 different restaurants available at the Grand Sukhumvit which are Cafe de Nimes and the Bonbon Cafe. Whereas Cafe de Nimes makes excellent Mediterranean cuisine, Bonbon Cafe has delicious pastries and bread on offer. Buffet for lunch and dinner is available as well as a la carte service.

Besides, there are 2 separate bars called Aziza and Petrus. The former comprises a beautiful oriental style garden and has some of the best cocktails in town to offer. Petrus is a sophisticated business lounge with classic but also many young elements.

With the skytrain running down Sukhumvit Road you always have easy access to all the attractions that Bangkok has. The famous nightlife areas Nana and Soi Cowboy are located on Sukhumvit as are the upmarket clubs on Sukhumvit Soi 11 like Q Bar or Bed Supperclub.

For shopping you have the choice. Siam Square, which is just a short way has a shop for everything and if we say everything we really mean it. Huge malls next to small local fashion stores give you a fantastic variety of goods. Other shopping areas of note that are located on Sukhumvit Road are th Emporium shopping complex, Central Chitlom department store, Thonglor and Ekkamai.

The Grand Sukhumvit can be booked starting from the 1st of November onwards.

By the way: Since the start of our Travel Guide section only about 1 month ago we already have more than 140 trip reports and tips for many destinations available. Continuing this pace and even upping is our goal.

Also, in the same box where you can see our most favorite hotels you also have access to the already posted reviews for these hotels. Again, our hotel review function has seen tremendous support. Now we already have more than 200 hotel reviews from Asia and Oceania online and the numbers is growing daily.
