Yangon, the capital city of Myanmar. It is the gateway to Myanmar and is a city unlike any other. The city itself features few high rises and practically no traffic congestion. What moves in the streets, fringed by buildings in various states of dilapidation, are pedestrians and bicyclists aside mostly vehicles from the 50's and early 60's, some even go back as far as the 40's. Only recently has imports of second-hand vehicles from Japan been allowed. Yangon offers many kinds of accommodation. The hotels in Yangon are modern and stunning just the same as the countries nearby even though Myanmar has been fighting with the internal political issues. Kandawgyi Palace Hotel Yangon, one of the most famous five star hotels in Yangon. The hotel located in the heart of business area where you can conveniently go else where. Grand Plaza Park Royal Yangon Hotel is another relaxing hotel nestled in the archaeological zone of the city with Thai, Japanese, Chinese and Burmese restaurants onsite. Beside the mentioned 5 star hotels above, Yangon also provides affordable hotels for the tourists who travel with limited budget for instance Thamada Hotel Yangon. The hotel achieves the perfect balance of comfort and value for money in a friendly setting and is geared to those traveling on a low budget yet looking for a true home-away-fro-home setting. There are also Summit Parkview Hotel Yangon, Strand Hotel Yangon and Micasa Apartments Hotel Yangon all set to accommodate you during your exciting trip.
