Japan. Bridgestone Museum of Art is a place which collects and exhibits European French impressionist art, Japanese Western style art from Meiji and tall a wing periods. Bridgestone Museum is one of the private museums in Tokyo. There are five rooms on display. The permanent collection works by Monet, Manet, Degas, Sisley, Cezanne, Pissarro, Renoir, Corot, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, and Rousseau. Also Japanese painters are Asai Chu, Kuroda, Seiki, Aoki Shigeru, Kuniyoshi Wasuo, and Saeki Yuzo.
Bridgestone Museum provides exhibitions around three times a year or maybe a bit more on special occasions. The museum collections are around 1,600 works of art those are Chiefly Impressionists, Post Impressionists and twentieth century art.
There are lots of events held in the museum. Saturday Lectures is a single series, the theorists examine art, and artists’ points of view in Japanese only noted. Gallery Talks is a guide of the museum available daily except the museum day off, as well Japanese version only. Family Program is organized once a month is Bridgestone Museum of Art’s fun quizzes or games for a special for families with children ages about 6-12 years old, also only in Japanese. Auditorium Events is the auditorium of the Bridgestone Museum of Art which uses for events whether concerts or films about arts and artists, Japanese without subtitles. Visitors can enjoy the circumstances of the Japanese by this way.
