Sydney Harbour Bridge or the Coat Hanger of Sydney, Australia

Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of major attractions for tourism in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of greatest way to see Sydney Harbour. Sydney Harbour Bridge was officially opened on March 19th 1932 and it took six years of construction by 1,400 workers. 16 workers were killed accidentally during the construction. The total cost is 6.25 million Australian pound or 13.5 million Australian dollars. It was designed by Dorman and Long which was built by both ends then, joined in the middle.

Sydney Harbour Bride is 134 meters above the Harbour. The bridge’s two ends are at Dawes Point which is in Sydney’s Rocks area in the South and Millsons Point which is in Sydney’s lower North Shore area in the North. The bridge length is about 1149 meters. The bridge has eight lanes of road separate to road lanes, tram tracks, railway tracks, bicycle path, and a footpath on its main roadway.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is a natural point for Sydney Harbour View and connected to other main attractions. It is the most famous landmark. Locally, Sydney Harbour Bridge is called Coat Hanger. There is a place called Pylon Lookout which this place is recommended for all visitors as the place displays clearly how Sydney Harbour Bridge was built. Sydney Harbour Bridge was the highest structure which was recorded in Guinness Worlds Records until in 1967.

Surrounding the Sydney Harbour Bridge as mentioned, it is connected to several major attractions by foot or public transportation easily toreach within a few minutes. Visitors can take a walk on the bridge arranges a footpath on its main roadway for observation view including harbour view. Bicycle is one of ways to enjoy the ride on the bridge. Road lanes, Tram Tracks, Railway Tracks can be ways but Bicycle is recommended if you are not willing to walk.
