Overview

Singapore is a most advanced country according to the quality of life it has the highest standard of living in Asia and is ranked 11th in the world.
Singapore consists of 63 islands, and the Sentosa is the largest one of Singapore’s many smaller islands.
A population of Singapore is 4,483,900 and the languages spoken in Singapore are Mandarin Chinese, English, Malay and Tamil but most of the people speak English only because many nationalities are living there.
Singapore has a highly developed market- based economy and it has been rated as the most business- friendly economy in the world.
Singapore is a popular travel destination for its wonderful dining and fabulous night life.

Geographic information

Although Singapore has a warm and humid summer temperatures throughout the year but most rain falls during the northeast monsoon and showers are usually sudden and heavy, so it’s better to carry lightweight cottons and lines.

General Information

The Singapore dollar is the local currency and all credit cards are widely accepted but for the fixed price items only.
Tipping is not encouraged in Singapore but guests are free to offer, although a 10% service charge is already included there.

Dining

Singapore Cuisine is a gourmet’s paradise with a wide range of different cooking styles including various regional style of cuisine, such as, Chinese cuisine, American, English, French, Indian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Russian and Swiss.

Nightlife

Singapore Nightlife is vibrant and exciting with a range of entertainments, such as, bars, clubs, discos, karaoke pubs, night markets, international stage shows and many more exciting things to see. Many would argue that it has one of the best nightlife scenes in Sout East Asia.

What to do

Singapore offers many more things to se there as well as to do there like, play golf, cycling, Horse racing and enjoy water sports of the east cost and Sentosa Island.

Shopping

Shopping in Singapore is another part of attraction and rightly being known as a shopper’s paradise. Many specialized items you can get from Chinatown with the exciting shopping atmosphere. Orchard Road is the main shopping street and many people like to go to shopping there and Sungei Road is famous for electrical equipment. Some places u can bargain too but after good research and shrewd negotiating.

How to get there

The best way to explore Singapore is travel by MRT Subway which is comfortable, modern, efficient and cheap way to hang around. You may get a taxi from outside the hotel or flagged down in the streets.

Restrictions

Above 50 per cent of youth generation about age 20 years is living in Singapore as Singapore is a clean country and to keep it clean chewing gum is strictly enforced and smoking is illegal in enclosed public areas, if u don’t follow the rules you will be fine of up to S $ 500.

Attractions

Raffles Hotel Singapore is one of the main attractions of Singapore which offered only ten rooms when it was opened but after the main building itself was expended to include verandas, shops, lobby and a number of special rooms. People from all over the world who came to visit Singapore lived in Raffles only, including some famous authors too. Nowadays people go there to enjoy performances, museum, shopping and dinning.

Singapore Zoo call the open zoo because here animals are quite free to roam around and not kept in jailed. Here u can see different types of animals’ freely roaming in the zoo. Daily shows include Primate and Reptile shows at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30. P.m. and elephant and sea lion shows at 11:30 am and 3:30pm. You can take picture with your favorite animal.

Night Safari Singapore is the world’s first nocturnal zoo. Where animals are kept in landscaped and live their lives after dark inside the zoological garden. The tours take 45 minutes and covers 3.5 kilometers. Guides will be there to assists you. This is very exciting to visiting the zoo in the night time and most of the tourists like to visit this night safari.
