By car Pattaya can be reached in approximately 2.5 hours, by taking the Bangna – Trat Highway via Bang Pakong, Chonburi and Si Racha. Alternatively taking Highway 36 the new Chonburi – Pattaya – Rayong route or the motorway from Bangkok’s Rama 9 road, Chonburi can be avoided thus reducing travel time further. By Bus Air conditioned and regular buses depart from both the eastern bus terminal (Ekkamai) and the northern bus terminal (Mochit 2, on Kamphaengphet road) daily. Air conditioned buses depart the eastern terminal every 30 minutes from 5.00am to 10.00pm and from the northern terminal from 5.00am to 7.00pm Timetables and fares are subject to change please check Eastern terminal details Tel: 02391 2504 Northern terminal details Tel: 02936 2852 Alternatively there are mini buses that run directly from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya, 9.00am, 12.00pm and 7.00pm daily. By train Travelling by rail is a comfortable and pleasant way to reach Pattaya and take in some of Thailand’s breathtaking scenery. Daily trains depart Bangkok’s Hualamphong Station, for Pattaya’s station located in close proximity to Siam Country Club. The journey takes approximately 5 hours.
