Every year in March thousands of people travel to Pattaya, Thailand's famous beach resort, to have fun at the Pattaya Music Festival. This year again, the Pattaya Music Festival 2007 will be held for 3 days from the 16th until the 18th of March.

The Pattaya Music Festival has proven to be very popular among locals as well as foreign travelers each year. This international flair is also reflected in the music events, bands and shows that can be seen on the festival. There is always a big mixture of local Thai as well as foreign music acts. The music itself doesn't follow any specific style. You will find music from all facets of modern music including Hip Hop, Pop, Rock and even electronic music. But also Jazz and easy-listening tunes can be heard on the Pattaya Music Festival. There are bands playing as well as many DJs spinning the newest tunes from all over the world.

With such a big music event coming to Pattaya, the food offerings are as well upgraded. A lot of food stalls are installed just for te event and you will have no problem fining many local delicacies for cheap prices. In 2006, a crafts market had many interesting handicrafts to sell and a fireworks show entertained all party dwellers. So expect similar happening at the Pattaya Music Festival 2007. As the information becomes available we will update this article again. Many top acts are not confirmed until shortly before the event so stay tuned for more.

The Pattaya Music Festival 2007 will not only be about live concerts and music. There are many other music related activities and performances that will be attractive to all people coming to Pattaya. In the big Pattaya walking street you will find different kinds of shops and booths from record companies selling music, music books, music magazines and many other things that is related the their artists and CDs they are selling.

This makes the Pattaya Music Festival an excellent choice for a weekend break and you will surely be able to enjoy great music and performances.

How to get there

It is fairly easy to get to the Pattaya Music Festival 2007. There is the possibility to reach Pattaya by plane directly from Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket. Orient Thai Airlines will fly you directly from these 3 Thai cities to the U-Tapao airport in Pattaya. From there, you have to calculate another 45 minutes to Pattaya. This makes the plane a good option when coming from Chiang Mai or Phuket but when coming from Bangkok it is nearly not worth it as a car ride (with a taxi or rented car) takes only around 2 hours.
Bus service is also available and the cheapest option to go to Pattaya which takes around 3 hours. You can even reach Pattaya by train but this takes 5 hours from Bangkok so is not advisable.
