Golf has been a favorite sport for Thai people a while ago, but it has become really big since Tiger Woods is famous. From the writers point of view, Tiger Wood is pretty much the one who lights up golf to be famous in Thailand. There a hundred golf club in Thailand. Mostly in Bangkok and suburbs for instance Nakornayok and Pattaya. Apart from being best known of perfect nightlife and beautiful seas, Pattaya is also known as one of the best kept secrets in golf. There are twenty courses available in the city. The golf courses are wonderful and cheap designed by some of the greatest names in golf. The most popular golf course is St. Andrew 2000 Golf Club. Only 2,500 baht to experience a big field that was built to replicate the wind swept Scottish course. St. Andrew demands a power of hazards forcing the player to remain focus on each every shot. Another famous golf club in Pattaya is Chonburi Century Country Club. The golf course offers 18 holes. It is located 35 minutes drive from the exit of Bangkok-Chonburi. Laem Chabang International Country Club is also recommended to golfers who want to enjoy the feeling of being close to nature in the lush and exotic course. Laem Chagang covers 3,446 yards in length around the beautiful mountain sky hills. There were many tournaments held in Laem Chabang for instance Audi-Volkswagen Tour in 1995, Volvo Amateur open in 1996, Chiron Thai Senior Pro Golf Tournament in 2002 etc. The price is 2,500 baht. Beside the mentioned courses, there are Mountain Shadow Golf Club, Noble Place Gold Club, Crystal Bay Golf Club, Soi Dao Highland Golf Club and many more waiting for the golfers to try.
