For the May Day in London and throughout the month there will be several events going on in all kinds of variety to welcome the spring time. To give you an idea on what you can enjoy and celebrate in London in this month have a look at the events below that will be taking place:
Spring time is a beautiful time in Europe and
London is no exception there. So it is an ideal month for going to England's capital. The holiday on the 1st of May is perfect for families and singles alike.
Museums and Galleries Month London Another huge event is taking place in May that has proven to be highly popular in the last years. This is a UK-wide celebration of museums and galleries. This year's theme is "People: Who are We?" The events at the galleries and museums will go late into the night during this festival, showing many special art pieces, films and other fun things.
The museums and galleries festival runs from 1st May until the 31st of May so you have enough time to visit many of London's best museums and galleries.
Many events that one would not expect at a museum or gallery are also taking place such as "Surreal Things" at V and A, "Picasso" at Museum of Childhood or "Science of Spying" at Science Museum.
Kids will be delighted with the many workshops offered at different museums. The
Design Museum for example lets kids design their own rooftop retreat. Something you probably cannot do all too often.
May Day Funfair at Alexandra Palace This could be one of the busiest events on London May Day in 2007. The Funfair at Alexandra Palace offers many rides and other attractions or games.
