A Fantastic destination of activities, Samui Island

Samui Island or what Thai people call Koh Samui is one of the most stunning islands which is full of coconut trees in Surat Thani province. It is the third largest island in Thailand with the area 247 square km’s. Apart from being well known as the most beautiful island, it is rich of places where travelers can enjoy a lot of challenging activities.

If you need a break from all that lounging on the beach, there are many of unusual attractions which make the most of the island's culture and island charm. Forget the theme parks and hi-tech attractions. Instead, try the monkey show or the snake farm, or better still hire a car and go sightseeing. Buffalo Fighting is recommended for people who strange exiting sport. This is local sport which held after the rice harvest, but now is a regular gig with million of baht changing hands over winner.

Elephants trekking is a combination with all day tours in Koh Samui. The ride lasts about 15 minutes or half an hour. Riding the elephants has slowly become the tourist thing same as the monkey show since Samui Island has a lot of the coconut trees. The monkeys greatly prized and give a demonstration of their incredible dexterity in the outdoor theatre.

Taking a tour or hiring a car around the island in order to explore the beauty of island is what the travelers usually do nowadays. Samui is also a Buddhist centre in Thailand. It’s the biggest place of Buddhist and old temples in south.

If talking about Samui Island makes only lead you to picture about white sand beaches and the clear clean sea and luxurious resorts and hotels, it’s time to explore something more about this striking island.
