Chaweng Beach is the most famous and beautiful beach on Samui Island, and also the longest beach on Samui Island with 6 km distance. Chaweng Beach was separated to 4 parts; North Chaweng Beach located on northernmost, Central Chaweng Beach located on the middle, South Chaweng and Chaweng Noi Beach located on southernmost. Chaweng beach has a bight shape and it’s not too deep so you will see the tourist swimming, sun-bathing, kayaking, parasailing, sailing and doing others beach activities. Nearby, you can go for paintball and shooting. With the charming of the white sand and crystal blue-sky sea make the Chaweang Beach rapidly become a popular place among tourists and also the center of travel business on Samui Island or
Koh Samui.
Attractions on Chaweng Beach The Sea and the Beach Chaweng Beach is located on the eastern of Samui Island. Chaweng Beach will give you a panorama view of white sand beach, clear blue-sea and sky. At the northern Chaweng Beach and central Chaweng Beach is the most robust spot on Chaweng Beach, there’re many first class hotels, restaurants, diving shops and cloth shops. Chaweng Noi Beach also has a beautiful beach but it’s more peaceful, quieter and has cheaper accommodation.
Chaweng Beach faces to the East so you can clearly see the sun rise in the morning; you can get the new experience of travel. At the northern Chaweng Beach, there’s plentiful of coral reefs. You swim for 5 minutes to get to the deep diving spot which is deep about 5 meters. The best time for diving is on May until October because the sea is calm and dreamy.
Night Life at Chaweng Beach The road along the central Chaweng Beach is the most bustle and hustle spot at night. There’s a lot of lights, bars and night clubs similar to
Patong Beach at Phuket. If you love night life you will not be disappointed with this atmosphere. If you don’t like to drink you can also just go shopping for brand-name and local goods at the side street shops such as watches, clothes, leathers goods etc and many imitated goods.
After shopping you can enjoy the food at the many restaurants along the road. There are many styles of restaurant such as Indian, Japanese, German, Italian, Mexican, French and Thai but it’s quite expensive. If you want to try cheaper Thai foods you can go to Lam Din Market by walking a bit farther away from the center. There’re many stalls and street food shops selling Thai foods.
Accommodation on Chaweng Beach I recommend to stay at northern Chaweng Beach because it's clean and not too expensive but it's quite hustle and bustle, more so than other parts of Chaweng Beach. If you want a more peaceful ambience I recommend to stay at Chaweng Noi Beach and southern Chaweng Beach, here it is cheaper but a bit far from the center of Chaweng Beach. It's all right if you just want to relax and don't want to do much others activites.
