| Leaving from the Eastern Bus Terminal in Bangkok (next to Ekkmai BTS Skytrain station) travellers by bus can reach the Trat Bus Terminal in approximately five and a half hours, with buses departing between 6am and midnight. Sawngthaew taxis are then available to make the short 15km trip to the ferry ports of either Laem Ngop, Ao Thammachat or Ko Chang Centrepoint (operated by Ko Chang Resort).
