| Many people have heard of the River Kwai and especially the bridge that was built over it by American & English prisoners of war more than 60 years ago. Few have heard, however, about the beauty of the surrounding region in Thailand's Kanchanaburi province.
There are some impressive natural features in this area, such as the 7-step Erawan waterfall and there's nothing like a dip in its fresh, cold natural pool of crystal-clear water after an upward trek through the jungle.
