The beach town of Hua Hin lies just around 190 kilometers South of Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. It is an upscale beach resort with many top grade Hua Hin Hotels. This doesn't mean that you cannot find any good budget hotels here.
Hua Hin has the luck that it receives one of the lowest rainfalls of all areas in the country and being right at the coast it has a nice, fresh sea breeze. This makes Hua Hin suitable for all seasons for a trip. An additional reason which makes this city special is the fact that the Thai king has a summer palace situated here next to the beach. This means that the town is very well looked after, clean and a real good holiday destination.

One of the biggest attractions for the time after the sun sets is the Hua Hin night market. You can find many souvenirs, handicrafts, clothing and many other things here. Also, there are a wide range of restaurants around, most of them offerings delicious Thai cuisine but also foreign food restaurants are available.

All the top hotel chains of the world have properties in Hua Hin. Some of the best Hua Hin hotels are for example:

Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa hotel from $102
Lets Sea Alfresco Resort hotel Hua Hin from $105
Rock Hua Hin Beach Resort hotel from $112
Hyatt Regency Hua Hin hotel from $114
Anantara Resort and Spa Hua Hin hotel from $120
Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa hotel from $120
AKA Resort and Spa hotel Hua Hin from $229

At the beaches of Hua Hin you can do many things. Many water sports are available such as water skiing or jet skiing but also sailing and surfing. Hua Hin is one of the few places in Thailand where kite surfing or "kiting" is possible. There are a few schools and rental places for equipment available. Other activities include taking a ride on a pony or an elephant. In Hua Hin you can also find ATV (All Terrain Vehicles) rentals that are fun to use in the area.

The yearly Jazz Festival is also a very fun and professional event for music lovers. Some of the best local and International Jazz musicians are appearing here each year for many concerts at the beach. His Majesty the King of Thailand is also a talented jazz musician which might coincide that the Jazz Festival is located in Hua Hin where the Summer Palace of the king is located.

The main beaches in Hua Hin are Khao Takiab Beach (and Khao Takiab Bay beach) and Hua Hin Beach. Khao Takiab Beach is just a few minutes away from the town center. Many sun loungers with umbrellas are available for a small fee. It is possible to order food right at the beach which is very convenient. Elephant and horse riding is also available at this beach. You can rent a boat from here to make short fishing trips to nearby offshore islands.

Khao Takiab Bay beach is past the Khao Takiab mountain. The beach is relatively long with white and fine sand. The water quality is outstanding. You also find beach loungers and umbrellas for rent, elephant and pony riding is also available.
Hua Hin Beach is another major beach in the city that stretches 7 kilometers from the town center up to Khao Takiab beach. The Hua Hin beach is more secluded sand has less people, it is also less developed. This makes it perfect for a private time at the beach.

Easy to reach from Bangkok, Hua Hin has something to everybody looking for a relaxed and refreshing holiday at the beach.
