Lantau Island, it is the Island appeared in Hong Kong. Lantau Island is the largest Island of Hong Kong which is located at along the Pearl River. Even Lantau Island is the biggest Island, but there are low of population living in the area. Mostly, people are around in Tung Chung which is once quiet, but it is nowadays a new town noisy part in Lantau Island. The two features on Lantau Island should be the new Hong Kong’s Airport and Hong Kong Disneyland. Lantau Island is the scene of historical site. Lantau Island is consisted with 47 Villages. Three of them which are Mui Wo, Tai O, and again, Tung Chung are developed as new towns. Tung Chung is most noisy part. Tai O is one of largest town called as “The Venice of the Orient”. Almost 80% of the Island has been set as Wild Country Side Park. Lantau Island as well displays mostly natural sites with mountains and beaches. As most part of Lantau Island is set as Wild Country Side, so that outdoor activities should be the best choice for visitors such as Camping and Hiking as well as Fishing is a choice. The highest mountain is named Phoenix Mountain with 935 meters high. It is the second highest mountain in all of Hong Kong. Hiking the Phoenix Mountain is the most popular attraction’s activity for visitors though. Restaurants are on Lantau Island for visitors can taste Chinese great foods. There is the famous one recommended. The name is Po Lim Monastery’s vegetarian restaurant with great foods served. On Lantau Island provides lots of guesthouses and two hotels along the beach. There are many ways to get to Lantau Island and get around the Island contained by Trains, Boats, Buses and Cars. MTR is the mode which is used by most of people. Skyrail is a cable car between Tung Chung Town Centre and Ngong Ping.
