Pick up some portuguese history in china with a side trip to Macao using the ferry service with departures every fifteen minutes for a trip of less than an hour. Courtesy shuttles will take you to the casino hotels and from their you can take off on a walking tour. Visit the new Macao Tower. There are numerous Portuguese restaraunts, museums. a intersting buddhist temple near the maritime museum. The leal senado square is a living museum of colonial architecture when you are tired of sight seeing grab a taxi (very inexpensive) and head back to the ferry terminal.
