By Car Once out of Bangkok Chon Buri can be reached via Highway No. 34 (Bang Na Trat) in approximately one hour. Alternatively the recent opening of the new Bangkok to Chonburi route on the motorway can see travel time somewhat reduced. By Bus Clean and comfortable buses to Chonburi leave from Ekkamai, the eastern bus terminal, Bangkok frequently, with journeys taking approximately 1.5 hours For more deluxe travel, Air Conditioned VIP buses are available, leaving Ekkamai terminal every 40 minutes, from 5.30 am to 9.00pm Tel: 0 2391 9829. Non air conditioned buses leave Ekkamai every 30 minutes from 5.00am to 9.00pm Tel: 0 2391 2504 There are also air conditioned buses leaving Bangkok’s northern bus terminal, Mochit 2 bus terminal, Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm Tel: 0 2936 285266 Alternatively tour companies such as Si Racha Tour, Tel: 0 2936 4029 offer air conditioned buses and mini buses to Chonburi and Bang Saen.
