Once out of Bangkok Chon Buri can be reached via Highway No. 34 (Bang Na Trat) in approximately one hour.
Alternatively the recent opening of the new Bangkok to Chonburi route on the motorway can see travel time somewhat reduced.

By Bus
Clean and comfortable buses to Chonburi leave from Ekkamai, the eastern bus terminal, Bangkok frequently, with journeys taking approximately 1.5 hours
For more deluxe travel, Air Conditioned VIP buses are available, leaving Ekkamai terminal every 40 minutes, from 5.30 am to 9.00pm

Alternatively tour companies such as Si Racha Tour, Tel: 0 2936 4029 offer air conditioned buses and mini buses to Chonburi and Bang Saen.
