Six Topics of the historical Lan Na Style in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Chiang Mai National Museum, this is the main traditional museum of the north of Thailand, Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai National Museum is as well the center place for education for students, workers or any kind of people who want to explore the place, tradition and culture of the northern Thailand as it is called as Lan Na Style.

Chiang Mai National Museum is divided into six topics. The topic one is the background of the natural and cultural of the Lan Na Kingdom with the geology, ecology, geography, and prehistoric settlement of the north of Thailand. The topic two is the history of the Lan Na Kingdom of Chiang Mai which is the peak of its glory and when controlled by Burma during 1555 – 1796. The topic three is the city of Chiang Mai which was under the Kingdom of Siam. It was from the time when Chiang Mai regained the freedom from Burma to the reestablishment in 1782. Topic four is the trade and economy of the Lan Na Kingdom from 1782 to 1939. Topic five is the modern way of life and social development. Topic six is the development of the Lan Na Art Style, and the history of art in Thailand from the past to the present. These are all six topics that Chiang Mai National Museum arranged for visitors to explore.

Chiang Mai National Museum is very comfortable area. Beside those main areas, there is rest area that the museum provides for visitors to rest any time during the tour. In any parts, they are explained to visitors of what are they and how they are, so that visitors can learn and understand easily.

Chiang Mai National Museum is situated in Muang District. It is in the major town of the province, so that is as well very convenience area. Public transportations are available for visitors. Chiang Mai National Museum Admission Fee is only 30 Baht per person. The museum is available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 09.00 am – 04.00 pm.
