Siem Reap

Siem Reap is the city where most travelers will spend most of their time or at least some part of their trip. The world-famous temple ruins of Angkor Wat are located in the vicinity so if you are planning to visit this amazing world heritage you will have to reserve a hotel room in Siem Reap.

Phnom Penh

Sihanoukville

Sihanoukville is a popular seaside resort. Because of its many beaches it has seen a steady growth in traveler arrivals year by year. Reachable from the capital Phnom Penh in about 4 hours it is convenient for most international vacationers to go there after arriving in Cambodia. Besides the beaches, Sihanoukville is also surrounded by several islands off the coast to the South and West. This allows for excellent snorkeling, diving, fishing or just traveling from island to island.

The main beaches in Sihanoukville are named Occheteal Beach, Independence Beach, Victory Beach and Sokha Beach. Other beaches include Serendipity Beach, Lamherkay Beach and Koh Pos Beach.

Visa for Cambodia

To get a Visa for Cambodia there is a new and very convenient way to receive it without having to go to the embassy. The fee is 25 USD as of May 2007. This visa will let you stay in Cambodia for 30 days but it is single entry only, meaning you cannot leave and then re-enter Cambodia again with the same Visa. An online application will be processed within 3 business days. To apply for the Visa you need a passport that is still at least 6 months valid, a current picture of yourself in a digital format and a credit card for the payment. Countries that don't need a Visa are Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.
Countries that are not able to apply online for a Visa are: Afghanistan, Algeria, Arab Saudi, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan. Citizens of these countries will still have to apply for a Visa at the nearest Cambodian embassy.
