The Ming Tombs are one of the tourism places which are located around 30 miles northwest of Beijing. There are 13 emperors buried in a place which spreads some 15 square miles. Ming Tombs was chosen by the third Ming Dynasty emperor Yong Le as a landmark and monuments. Ming Tombs is the famous complex displaying the historical side and cultural value as well. The tomb is surrounded by a wall. The front gate of the place is painted red and it is called the Great Red Gate. There are guards around to protect the place. There is the road named Spirit Way to lead into the place which is telling pieces of 15th Century Chinese Art and architectural. The Ming Tombs comprise 3 different tombs, but one of them Shao Ling has been no excavations since 1989. There are now two tombs which are named Chang Ling and Ding Ling for visiting. Ding Ling is 4,000 square metes. It was the burial place of Emperor WanLi, his wife and his favorite concubine. Chang Ling is 120,000 square metes in an area preserved 13 Ming Tombs near Beijing. It is the tomb of Emperor YongLe ad empress XuShi. The main features of Ming Tombs are the Stong Bridge, Soul Tower, Baocheng and the Underground Place. The entire palace is made of stone. Three stone doors are divided into three Halls of five palaces. There are in the front, the middle, and the left, right. Chang Ling’s fee is CNY 30 between November to March and CNY 45 between April to October. Ding Ling’s fee is CNY 45 between November to March and CNY 60 between April to October. There are different prices though. Visitors can reach there by public transportation. Not too tough to get to the complex, Ming Tombs is the famous monument appeared.
