Bangkok is a multi-million people metropolis in the heart of South East Asia. One would probably not think about having a romantic evening in Bangkok but this is not true. Bangkok has many romantic sides to show. Even in the city center there are several romantic hotels that provide a big amount of privacy and comfort where you can relax with your special person.

There is for example Sukhumvit area, Bangkok's biggest Boulevard which is home to many of the top hotels in Bangkok. Silom and Sathorn are two roads in Bangkok that make up one of its biggest business districts. Now expecially on Sathorn you will find privacy and many good hotels while still being close to shopping and entartainment on Silom Road. The Banyan Tree Hotel Bangkok offers premium accommodation and the second highest open-air restaurant in the world called Vertigo. The latter is the perfect place for a romantic candle light dinner. Up this high, you will not hear any traffic and can enjoy the fantastic view over Bangkok while listening to smooth Piano music.

Also in this area, during the day, you find other romantic spots to relax such as the Lumpini Park. Busy in the morning, when hundreds of people come jogging here, it is more quite during the faternoon and provides ample space to sit and relax at the lake and in the tropical garden.

Further down on Silom Road you find even more options for a romantic stay in Bangkok. The talk of the town at the moment is the State Tower which houses the Lebua at State Tower. Here you can stay at 3 different types of suites, the smallest being already 66 square meters in size. One would not expect it but the hotel rates of the Lebua Hotel are actually very low compared to other 5-star offerings. The Lebua Hotel is famous for its restaurants that are unique in the world. The Sirocco is the highest open-air restaurant in the world, a romantic experience that you will not forget so fast, and the ewly opened Breeze offers superb Mediterranean cuisine just a few levels more down.

Nevertheless there are also other romantic hotels that provide very good deals. For a really special night you have of course to try the famous Oriental Hotel Bangkok that has been frequently ranked among the best hotels in the world. Being located right at the Chao Praya River it has a very romantic ambiance. Having dinner in the evening, looking over the river and enjoying the fantastic food make sfor the perfect night.

For a lower budget, the Royal River Hotel Bangkok is highly recommended. It is also at a prime location a the river while having lower rates as the Oriental Hotel for example.

Other romantic Bangkok hotels at the river with a romantic setting are the Shangri-La Hotel, Peninsula Hotel but also the Menam Riverside Hotel and the Bossotel Inn Hotel Bangkok provide quality service and accommodation combined with a romantic riverview.
