If talking about shopping places in Bangkok, Pratunam is surely in the list that the shoppers will talk about. Pratunam is one of Bangkok’s most colourful areas. There are many of small shops and vendors a long the street including the small Nai Lert Market, the most famous small shop in Pratunam. Most of the shops in Pratunam offer bargain prices for t-shirts, jeans, shoes, fashion clothing and girly accessories.

Air conditioned shopping places can be found in this area as well. Pratunam boasts a numerous number of air con shopping plazas. The most outstanding one is Central World Plaza or World Trade Centre. It is a huge shopping complex which contains a hundred of small boots inside including cinemas, restaurants ice skating rink.

Platinum shopping Mall only a few minutes walk from Central World Plaza. It is the newest wholesale shopping mall in Pratunam with more than 3,000 shops. Mostly they sell girly clothes in a cheap price, but there are a bunch of shops that sell men clothes and the other things too.

Go a little bit further you will see a big IT shopping mall called Pantip Plaza. Pantip Plaza is located on Petchburi Road. It is the biggest IT place in Thailand selling computers, printers, the latest electronic gadgets, software and hardware etc.

Although Pratunam is not the BTS Sky train route, there are lots of taxis giving easy access to other areas for instance Siam Square or Sukhumvit. It is simply the area that the shoppers belong with some good value first class hotels so if you're looking for a central location with good, well priced accommodation, bargain shopping and transport, this is it!
