Where is my favorite nightlife in Bangkok?

Posted by Miss Chonnikan Juntura on 26 July 2006

One of nightlife attractive places in Bangkok is Khaosan Road. And I like there, not only a lot of foreigners there but a lot of pubs, bars and restaurants also. So, when I meet up with my friends, we always decide to go to Khaosan Road.

We like the environment of Khaosan Road especially in the night time. There are many styles of clubs, pubs, bars and restaurants offered in Khaosan Road such as Thai restaurants, Indian restaurants, Western restaurants, or even chilled out bars and live band music places, etc. My friends and I love going to chill out bars such as ‘Chinamon Bar’. This bar is separated into 2 parts which are restaurant and pub. You can move to enjoy the music in another zone after you finish delicious foods in the restaurant part. For us, we prefer to chill out for some talks than music dancing.

Silk Bar is one of famous restaurants which is always full of the foreigners and tourists. They provide seats both inside you can feel the personal conversation and outside you can take a deep breath with the very nice circumstance. Both give you a good view of Khaosan Road. And another famous pub in Khaosan Road is Gulliver's Traveler's Tavern. Check out the bizarre exterior, a Tuk-Tuk is in prominent place above the main door when you come to this pub. The Gulliver’s Traveler’s Tavern, a big air-conditioned bar houses offers foods, beers, pool, videos, and most of all music.

Moreover, Khaosan Road is lined up both sides with stalls selling foods, clothes, accessories, shoes, paintings, handicrafts, handmade goods and more during the day and night time until 11pm.

Khaosan Road is also renowned in the backpacker foreigners because many guesthouses are available. At the moment, many guesthouses are now upgrading their facilities with air-conditioning, swimming pools and better quality rooms catering to a much wider range of guests, including families. Other things like Copied Music CD, very cheap internet access at internet cafés, setting up hair dreading, plating or hair extension stalls, tailors and book shops are all in Khaosan Road as well.
