There is something for every mood. Posted by Mr.Michael Comglas on 06 September 2006 American Nationality |
Finding somewhere to eat in Bangkok is both a pleasure and a chore. With so many wonderful options of either traditional Thai cuisine or restaurants that cater to a more westernised palate there is something for every mood. Apart from the numerous restaurants that permeate the streets of Bangkok, there are fast-food establishments, noodle stalls, food courts and plenty of riverside bar-restaurants too. As with everything else Bangkok is a city that provides visitors with an incredible culinary experience; including dining options that are either suitably expensive or more reasonably priced. In restaurants (with exception of noodle shops, cafes and street vendors) there is a 7% VAT added onto the bill. Be aware that there is also usually another 10% added as a service charge in most of the hotel and higher priced restaurants. If your bill does not include this service charge then the accepted tip for service is 10%.
