The Great Barrier Reef: A fantastic experience Posted by Mr.Umbert Fischer on 01 July 2006 German Nationality |
The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef and one of Australia’s biggest attractions. Being located off the Coast in Queensland province, the Great Barrier Reef stretches more than an amazing 2000 kilometers. The Great Barrier Reef comprises hundreds of islands and several thousands of different coral reefs. This natural wonder surely attracts many tourists and especially divers. It is possible to book live aboard trips that let you witness the reef in the best way. Divers can book one of the many available trips to the Great Barrier Reef that can include single dives up to staying several days on a boat and diving as much as you want. Many top hotels and resorts are available in the area to cater to the people coming to see the Great Barrier Reef. The islands of the reef feature white sand and are often covered with rain forest. Completely untouched islands await you and can be seen during your live aboard trip. Not all islands can be visited but there are many that are open to all visitors.
