My friends and I decided to visit Nongkhai and Laos during our holidays last week. We spent 1 night in Laos and 1 night in
Nongkhai. We took a van to Vientiane but our destination was at Vang Vieng, around 3 hours to arrive there. We arrived there
at 15.00 p.m. proximately. We were a bit excited and also tried at the same time (A lot of curve on the street). Actually we
reserved Vasana Vang Vieng Hotel by phone which we did not prepaid yet, after the driver drove us around the city. We
werepleased the eye at Ban Sabai Riverside, took a look the room. it was impeccable Hotel, especially the location that has
a gorgeous view. We suddently contacted to the hotel and there were enough room available for us . So, we've got 4 rooms for
9 persons. The room was new, spacious, clean and nice bathroom. The staffs were friendly and helpful. We were pleasant for
the reasonable room price.
In the late afternoon, We went to the the Cave and went to the famous river to took pictures. Supreme fresh air and fertile
environment will make you feel joyful. In the evening we had a chance to try Laos food. I think it's indifferent from Thai
food (still prefer Thai food). We saw the price surpricingly 480,000 Kip (56 USD approx.). It's quite cheaper than we
thought for 9 persons with full meal. After that we went to a famous pub in Vang Vieng, that was outmoded, unstylish DJ but
up-to-date songs. Around mid night we came back to hotel, along the way we looked this silent, unbusy city with dim light.
In the early morning, we had breakfasts and a cup of coffee for myself. Then We checked out around 11.00 a.m., went on to
our last destination "Vientiane", this was my third visits. Again we took lot of pictures at Patou Xai eventhrough strong
sun at this moment ( but we don't care anymore ;P ). After the mission completed, we stopped at duty free before immigrate
to Thailand, to bought some chocolates and beverage.
Finally My friend's mother picked us up at the boundary THAI-LAOS and we stayed in Nongkhai for the last night. |
