Bad experience..
Today at 11.00 am, we just checked out from this hotel and promised we never bring anyone to stay here anymore! Though nice & clean, but beware DO NOT LET SOMEONE GOT SICKED HERE!
After staying over night in this hotel, my female US friend got ill in this early morning. We kindly begged to Mr. Paisit Lojanakarn, the Resident Manager, for our friend's late checking out around 3.00 pm. as a normal practice as I experienced from many hotels- in and outside Thailand..
Asserting that our friend was checking in last night around 11.00 pm., then, she should have few more hours for her late check out. All in all, she couldn't walk now - asleep and laying down at the lobby as I was begging to the Manager. She said she needed few more hours to get well.
The manager didn't care about her. He said "the hotel doesn't compensate for your late checking in last night. " Therefore, we wanted to talk to his boss or someone else who can listen to this matter. He and his staff, at the recieption counter, did not allow us to talk or report to anyone. No other generousity was offered or given from them. Not even could this hotel compared to Radison hotel in Caracus, Costa Rica - as I experienced.
Finally, we got our friend out of this place very soon and brought her to meet a doctor at Lad Praow hospital. The doctor said she got problem with food, and she much take some rest for few hours. Then, she'll get better.
I suspect that if only few more generous hours are given from the hotel could save her health better than this. But that was not gonna be available from this hotel.
Be strong and do not get sick while staying here. Any rate regarding this hotel's service are should be under than 1.
PS. don't expect a non-smoking room from this hotel. They'll give you a spray.
