The Sofitel Royal hotel is slightly out of the centre. There are two restaurants. One which is in the middle of the lake. There is also the most amazing spa over by the swimming pool where I had a very relaxing massage - again, just what you need after an early start touring the temples. The hotel do offer escorted tours of the Angkor Wat area. We would definitely stay at this hotel if we returned to Siem Reap - the service is what you expect from the Sofitel chain and all the staff was incredibly courteous and friendly. |
