I arrived in Bangkok close to midnight and had arranged for a car to meet me. The driver was there and well-marked and gave me a very pleasant ride to the hotel, which is about two blocks from Patpong. The neighborhood is vibrant and filled with great restaurants and wonderful shopping. The staff, even in the middle of the night, was courteous and made the check-in procedure very easy. My room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. The 24-hour security made me feel very safe and comfortable, despite the huge amounts of foot traffic outside the hotel. The laundry service was easy to use and timely, the pool and hot tub were lovely and pleasant. The spa had excellent service, even on short notice (I had a 2 hour Thai massage, which was spectacular). I also ate at the poolside restaurant, which was very tasty. Breakfast had both Thai and Western options, which was a nice, slow introduction. I highly recommend the Siam Heritage. |
