To say it right away: The Davis Hotel was a great choice and I highly recommend it to everybody. For what you get at the Davis, the price is unbeatable. I also like the contemporary boutique style design which I much prefer to the standard conservative hotel designs. The Davis has a very stylish lobby and all rooms are furnished and designed with the greatest care. The swimming pool and spa is also nice and makes you forget that you are in the middle of Bangkok but it has more of a resort feel to it.
If you are worried about the location then you don’t need to be. The Davis is situated at the end of the probably most popular soi of Sukhumvit Road. There are several shops, bars and cafes nearby and at Sukhumvit you have access to the Emporium shopping center, the most prestigious in the city (at least that is what I was told). It is definitely a nice center with lots of fashon stores but also a superb floor with all kinds of food. Definitely worth checking out.
Service was also always friendly and attentive but as I never had any trouble anyway I didn’t need to request too much things. |
