This year I had the pleasure to visit China and also the city of Guangzhou. I stayed at the White Swan Hotel as it is supposed to be one of the best hotels in Guangzhou and has a 5-star rating. Now don’t get me wrong. It is a nice hotel but considering the price I paid I would have expected more that that. Rooms were comparatively small and the room service was highly overpriced. The price level was really too much for what I received. Sure, it is definitely a luxurious hotel but the White Swan is not comparable to a 5-star hotel in Shanghai or Beijing. Period. Still, in Guangzhou, the choice is not so varied so the White Swan hotel is still a choice for people looking for a good hotel in Guangzhou and don’t care about money. |
