I am in Hong Kong at least 3 times per year so I have plenty of chances to try out hotels. This time around I decided to stay at the Conrad. Although quite a big name hotel somehow I never made it to stay there before. Besides, one of my friends recently stayed at the Conrad Hong Kong and recommended it highly so I wanted to know if all his praises were justified.
The room I had was very nice. Then again, for the price of several hundred dollars per night it better be very nice. The price of the Conrad is comparable to other top offerings including the Mandarin Oriental so in Hong Kong it can get quite pricey.
I was completely satisfied though. My stay couldn’t have been better. Check-in was quick and I didn’t have to wait at all. The view I had from the room was also fantastic. I just love to watch Hong Kong by night with all the lights and fantastic architecture.
The Conrad Hotel’s design is modern and “business” like. They definitely target business people. He location of the Conrad is central and it is very convenient to reach everything from there. Shopping is nearby anyway (shopping always seems to be nearby in Hong Kong, no matter where you stay). I wouldn’t say this was the best hotel I have stayed at in Hong Kong but it was definitely in the top 5. |
