The Banyan Tree in Bangkok is situated in one of the tallest buildings in Bangkok. It is very narrow for a building this tall, which makes it stand out from an architectural point of view.
The service I received was nothing less than excellent and definitely worthy for a 5-star hotel which is not always the case in Thailand because of the lack of a real controlling body for hotel star ratings.
Another feature of the Banyan Tree Hotel that I really like were the fantastic restaurants. There s a superb Chinese restaurant and the great “Vertigo”. The restaurants are of course located on top of the building and I can tell you the view is second to none up there. Even better, The Vertigo restaurant is open air! At ths heigt, you will not hear any traffic or other noise coming from the street. I know Bangko has some more 5-star hotels like the Peninsula and the Oriental but the Banyan Tree is a worthy contender. |
