Basically, the Bamboo Garden Hotel is a great place with many advantages and some disadvantages (for some). The rooms are quite nice, the staff is friendly and speaks ok English if not perfectly (but who needs that anyway).
Problem for some could be the location. Its about 30 minutes away from the center by subway. The subway is pretty close to the hotel though. I didn’t mind the 5-10 minute walk.
On the other hand its not too far from the lake district (quite good for night entertainment) and the forbidden city is also not too far away.
So for a more authentic experience (because the hotel is not in the city center) this hotel is a good choice. |
