Entering the Sofitel Silom was quite impressive. U just gotta love the lobby. The rooms use a dark wood for their floors and although the design is quite contemporary, the Sofitel uses several “Thai design influences” to spice things up and not let you forget that you are in Asia. I especially liked the wooden floors as it made that whole room appear a lot more cozy. I always had breakfast at the restaurant on the 38th floor which was great. From up there you get a fantastic view over Bangkok and dining up there was a lot of fun each day. Service was OK although not outstanding for a hotel in this class. Still, I can recommend this hotel. |
