An excellent hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The Intercontinental was an excellent experience. It is located at "Chitlom". Though a bit of a funny name, this area is actually right n the middle of Bangkk and also right at the BTS station. BTS is Bangkok's train system. There is a subway now also since last year but I didn't have the need for it as the Skytrain BTS is already convenient enough and took me everywhere I needed to go.
The Intercontinental is a 5-star hotel and it has many special things to offer. It has for example the biggest shopping arcade in any hotel in Bangkok. If you don't feel like going out somewhere there are several shops and restaurants right inside the hotel. I thin its great that a hotel like the Intercontinental doesn't force you to use on of their in-house restaurants but that they allow other providers inside the hotel. Thumbs up! as a delicious Japanese restaurant with very reasonable prices is in the arcade.
Rooms came as expected with a great amount of luyxury, style and amenities.
This is a very good hotel and i recommend it to everybody who thinks about going to Bangkok. |
