Hotel Overview
Located in central Hong Kong and a whopping 56 floors high, the Island Shangri-La Hotel is an impressive building through and through. Directly connected to the hotel is Pacific Place which is Hong Kong’s most famous shopping mall and has shops for everything you can imagine.
As the Island Shangri-La excels in so many ways, it comes to no surprise that the rooms belong to the largest in the whole city compared to other establishments. Also, each unit has a fantastic view onto Victoria Harbor which will give you the ideal opportunity to make some beautiful shots for taking home.
The restaurants in the Shangri-La are all of an extremely high quality and provide delicacies from many different countries and in many different styles. There is something available for everybody and the food is excellent throughout.
A special attraction inside the hotel atrium is a huge Chinese silk painting that is the biggest in the world of its kind.
A luxurious Health Club and a swimming pool make up the wellness offerings of the Island Shangri-La and as is standard for a hotel in this class, there are professional meeting facilities available for booking.

With 56 floors and 531 guest rooms, the Island Shangri-La Hotel Hong Kong is a big hotel with world class facilities. There are 34 Suites overall that have a fantastic panoramic view either on the Victoria Harbor or the Majestic Peak. The latter is Hong Kong’s highest mountain. The Island Shangri-La hotel has the largest rooms on Hong Kong Island with the Harbor View Room and Peak View room measuring 44 (473 sq. ft.) and 41 (441 sq. ft.) square meters respectively.

Hotel Location
The Island Shangri-La is one of the finest hotels in Hong Kong and is located centrally in Hong Kong so it is very convenient to reach all other parts of the city from there. One of the special features of the hotel is that it is directly connected to Pacific Place which is Hong Kong’s most prestigious shopping center. Every imaginable good can be bought there and it is a pleasure to go for a shopping trip there.
The MTR (Mass Transit Railway) is not far away and gives youy an extremely quick and cheap way to move around the city. Most major areas can be reached by the MTR and it is the best way to get around the city quickly.

Restaurant Petrus
Petrus offers French delicacies and also has several options for vegetarians on offer. As a special feature, the restaurant has its own wine cellar that is one of the best stocked and biggest collections in Asia. For private gatherings or events it is possible to rent the Alsace or Burgundy rooms.
Pool Deck
The Pool Deck provides hotel guests with light snacks and several options for vegetarians. Situated right next to the swimming pool makes it the ideal place for a snack and cocktail while enjoying the sun.
Cafe Too
Cafe Too specializes on International cuisine and, like other restaurants in the hotel, has different options for vegetarians available. Guests sit in one of the seven different “cooking theatres” and let themselves be entertained by the different chefs.
Nadaman
Not to miss is this excellent Japanese restaurant. It is a fine dining experience in an elegant setting. There are different areas for teppanyaki and sushi and for private gatherings you can rent a tatami room. A la carte dining is of course also available.
Lobby Lounge
In the lobby lounge you will find the ideal place for an afternoon tea or a professionally mixed cocktail. Especially in the evening, it can be very relaxing to lounge in the lobby while a pianist provides the right music together with it.
Lobster Bar and Grill
As the name suggests already, Lobster Bar and Grill specializes on grilled international food. It also has many delicious cocktails on offer that go very well together with the entertainment that is provided in the restaurant on 6 days per week.
Summer Palace
The Summer Palace is a real Chinese restaurant specializing on Cantonese delicacies. The head chef Lee Keung understands it perfectly how to present the seasonal favorites as well as the Yum Char and Dim Sum that is available for lunch.
Island Gourmet
Island Gourmet features a vast selection of pastries, breads, sandwiches and chocolates. Everything that you can buy here is made and prepared inside the hotel.
Several recreational facilities are also available at the Island Shangri-La that includes a luxurious Health Club and swimming pool. In the Health Club you can take advantage of many services that are especially made for all health-conscious hotel guests and travelers.
