Making My Reservation

How do I reserve a room?

- To reserve a room through our website, you can easily search your preferred hotel, once you accept the rate, you have to select the room that you prefer and continue signing in to your member account. Once you sign in, please check all information and proceed to book. A valid credit card is required to complete your reservation. Top

How do I know when the reservation is confirmed?

- If you select a hotel that shows SpeedConfirm, you are informed that once you proceed to complete your booking with the credit card information, you will be able to print out the confirmation voucher at once. The confirmation voucher will also be sent to your email address that you used to register your membership. Top

How do I reserve different types of rooms?

- Begin by selecting the number of rooms, and then check the rate and availability. The page will show the rate and status of the rooms. In this step you can select different room types. Top

If I do a search, how do I know whether the hotels are available or not?

- Once you search from the homepage, the SpeedConfirm hotels will be ranked on top, while below them you may select the hotels which confirm within 48 hours. Top

How do I search for available hotels only?

- Normally once you do a search, we will display the available hotels for you at the top ranks. So if the hotel comes with Instant sign, the selected hotel is available on the selected date. Top

What is the difference between SpeedConfirm and Request status?

- - SpeedConfirm = room is available and can confirm immediately

- Request = room can be requested, subject to the availability at the time you submit the reservation. Please note that under ‘Request’, you can get a room reserved but not immediately as in the case of SpeedConfirm. Once you submit the reservation under ‘Request’, the status of the reservation will be communicated to you within 24 hours, except during high season or during long weekends where it might take up to 48 hours maximum. Under whose name should the reservation be made?

- The reservation should be made under the name of the person who will check in and stay at the hotel. If you book multiple rooms, you must use a different name for each room or the duplicate reservation MAY be cancelled by the hotel. Top

If the selected hotel is not available, will I get an option?

- Normally you can instantly see what hotel is available. If the selected hotel is not available (which results from the selection under Request), we will suggest alternative hotels for your consideration. Top

If the room I select is under Request status, how long does it take to get the result from the hotel?

- It takes 24 hours in normal cases. If it’s during the weekend that we receive your reservation request, it may take longer. Top

Can I make reservations on the site without registering an Excelloz.com account?

- No. You must be a member in order to get our best deal. Top

Do hotels have minimum age requirements?

- This varies, normally, the hotel requires you to be at least 18 years old to check in. Top

If I reserve more than one room, can I use my name as the guest for all rooms?

- We require at least one guest name for each room in case you reserve more than one room. This is done in order to prevent the confusion. Top

Can I reserve a hotel room by telephone or email?

- If you are unable to log in to your member page to make a reservation, we are available for phone reservation or fax. Top

Why do I have to input the nationality?

- Some hotels have special restrictions for some nationalities. This is to inform the hotels to prevent any trouble when checking in. Top

Do you charge a service fee?

- There is no charge for using our service. Our service is absolutely free. Top

Is your rate inclusive of taxes and service charges?

- All the rates displayed on our site are inclusive of applicable taxes and service charges. Top

Will I get the same rate if I reserve a room through the hotel directly?

- No. The rates displayed on our site are available when reserving through us only. Top

Is the rate equal for everyone?

- The rates displayed are applicable for overseas guests and not applicable for local citizens in specific regions i.e. Asia. Top

Why is the rate changed since the last time I checked?

- The rates are updated daily. The change is reflected from the actual currency. Top

If I already have a confirmation but later check and see the lower rate, can I get a refund?

- No. As the rates can be changed daily, once you reserve and commit with that rate, we will not be able to issue any refund. Top

Will the rate change if I already have the confirmation?

- No. Once you receive the confirmation, the rate will not be changed later on. Top

Is the rate per person or per room?

- Single room rates, double/twin room rates and triple room rates are different. In the normal case, single and double rates are the same. However, you have to enter the number of occupants to get the exact rate for your reservation.
IMPORTANT: If you select 1 adult upon making the reservation and then come to check in 2 adults, the hotel will collect extra charge for the second person directly from you even though the rate for 1 or 2 persons might be the same. Top

How can your rates be so cheap?

- The rates are cheap due to high volumes of reservations. This makes us able to negotiate with the hotels for the best rate. Top

Why is there a surcharge on the selected hotel?

- Some hotels, especially during peak season, may apply a surcharge based on high occupancy at the hotels. If this happens you will be notified by us and can then decide if you want to accept the new rate or not. Top

Do you offer special discounts (for seniors, airline employees, etc)?

- No. Our rates are already discounted. Top

Can I use discount vouchers (e.g. issued by magazines, shops, etc.)?

- No. We do not accept any discount vouchers at present. Top

What if I find a lower rate after booking?

- If you find a lower rate in our website after booking, there is no refund for the difference since, as mentioned earlier, the rate can be updated daily.
Please be aware that we don’t guarantee the lowest Internet rate, but we do our utmost to find the best deal available for all our members. Top

Are there any applicable currency conversion fees when making a reservation?

- No. The price you see online, no matter if it is in USD, Euro or another currency, will be charged directly to your credit card in that same currency. There are no applicable conversion fees to be paid and there is no price advantage for one currency over the other. Top

How Hotel Free Nights, Special rates or Promotions works ?

- Free nights, Special rates or promotions will be mentioned by a icon [love] Free Nights on the hotel page near the room category.

The Special Free Nights rates including breakfast will be showing like 0.00$ or if it is compulsory breakfast it will show like 5.50$ [or other number following the hotel breakfast rates.] or if it is showing 0.00$ it's possible also that the room is free but Not including breakfast, means that customer will have to pay additional breakfast charge to the hotel if breakfast is request by customer.

Special Hot Deals are rates well negotiated with the hotel directly or our travel partners. Special Hot Deals can be 30% to 70% discount on hotel rates.

IMPORTANT - Free Nights and Rates are for all or certain market, only selected by the hotel and they are subject to be modify/cancel at any time without prior notice. Top

Payment

Do I need to submit my credit card number through the Internet to make a reservation?

- Yes, a valid credit card is required to complete the reservation as the rate is prepaid. Top

When do you charge my credit card?

- If you reserve a room with SpeedConfirm, the credit card will be charged the total amount up front.
If you reserve a room by making a REQUEST, the credit card will be charged ONLY when the reservation is CONFIRMED. In case of a hotel being FULLY BOOKED, NO charge will be incurred. Top

Is my credit card secure through your site?

- Yes, your credit card information is secure on our website. Upon check-out, your details are sent to the bank directly. All of your information will not be stored anywhere, not on the Excelloz nor on the bank servers for maximum security. Also, none of our employees will ever have access or see your credit card details. Top

I already paid for my room reservation, why does the hotel ask for my credit card again?

- The amount charged to your credit card on the confirmed reservation is for reserved rooms. Some hotels will require your credit card details again upon check-in in order to guarantee for other possible expenses i.e. telephone, Mini Bar, etc. Top

Why is my credit card rejected?

- Possibilities are:
- Numbers / expiration dates are incorrect
- Your issued bank blocks the card from internet usage for security reasons.
- Not enough balance. Top

Can I use my debit card to make a payment?

- No. Only credit cards are accepted at present. Top

I do not have a credit card. Can I still reserve a room?

- Normally, the payment is only accepted by the credit card. However, in some cases, bank transfers are possible. Please contact us if this is your case. Top

- Visa & MasterCard have developed authenticated payment capabilities to improve online transaction security. By creating a virtual signature in the form of a password chosen by you when you sign up, Visa and MasterCard hopes to provide a safer online commerce experience for Cardholders.

- When you make a reservation using your PayPal account you don't actually pay until you get the confirmation from us. What is the confirmation voucher?

- It is a document you receive from us after payment confirmation that proves you've prepaid for services at your chosen hotel(s) and must be presented upon check-in. Top

What if I lose my voucher and/or voucher reference number?

- You can simply log on to your account and print the voucher again. Top

If the confirmation email does not arrive or I lose my reservation voucher, how can I print a copy of it?

- Again, you can simply log on to your account and print the voucher. You need to remember your email you used to register the account and your password. Top

My computer crashed near the end of the online process, is my reservation confirmed?

- If your computer crashed, you can check your email if there is any information sent to you. Normally if the reservation is confirmed, you should have gotten the email stating the information about your confirmed reservation.

You can also sign in to your account and check if the selected hotel is in your confirmed folder or not.
If you have any questions in this case, please contact us. DO NOT make a duplicated reservation. Top

Do I need to confirm my reservation with the hotel directly?

- No. You don’t need to. We have confirmed the reservation on behalf of you already along with the prepayment. Top

Can I call the hotel to check the record of my reservation?

- Once you receive the confirmation from us, you are able to check your record with the Hotel directly.
However, if you reserve the rooms far in advance, your name will not appear at the hotel until 7 days before your arrival date. Rest assured the room is reserved; however, the hotel just does not know that you will be the person staying in it. Top

Why can't the hotel find my record of my confirmed reservation?

- As stated above, the room is reserved. However, the name list will normally appear at the hotel’s system only 7 days before arrival date. Top

What is the Reservation Guarantee?

- All reservations made with Excelloz are guaranteed. If your reserved hotel becomes unavailable or cannot be honored upon check-in caused by a mistake on behalf of Excelloz/Hotelier, please immediately contact our call center. We will arrange a room at another convenient and comparable hotel possible for you. The full cost of the first night's stay, including any tax and service charges will be taken care of by us. We will pay for all communication costs to our office. Top

- Excelloz.com offers 3 types of Premium Memberships:

Can I allow someone else to use my login?

- Yes. You have to create an account if you want to reserve a hotel on our site. Top

What does "Remember Me" mean?

- It means that the computer will remember your username and password the next time you come back to Excelloz.com. This setting is recommended only for your own private computer. Top

Changing or Canceling my Reservation

What if I don't like the hotel I reserve?

- If you face a problem while staying at the hotel, please immediately contact us. We will try our best to solve it. However, please be aware that any change made at the last minute or while you are staying at the hotel will incur applicable fees from the reserved hotel. Top

In case I would like to extend my stay, how do I proceed?

- You can proceed to extend your stay from your account. If you can’t access the Internet, please contact our Call Center at +66 - 2 - 236 5309. Top

Do I get charged if I cancel or modify my reservation?

- Cancellations or modifications made after the reservation is confirmed will incur the fees stated in the cancellation policy and the modification policy. Top

What happens to my hotel reservation if my flight is delayed?

- Please contact us as soon as possible in case you know that your flight is delayed or going to be delayed. This way, we can assist you in contacting the hotel beforehand to minimize penalties. Top

How do I modify or cancel my reservation?

- For any modification or cancellation please used your Excelloz.com Account to proceed.
No email, fax, enquiry or phone call will be accepted. Top

Can I change the name of the traveler without informing Excelloz.com?

- No. Any change should be done through us since the service is provided by us. The hotels will not accept any changes from you directly unless it is urgent. Top

Will my credit card be charged if I don't arrive at the hotel as scheduled?

- Yes. The credit card is charged up front when your reservation is confirmed. In case you do not arrive at the hotel and do not inform us, it is considered as NO SHOW. No refund will be issued for this case. Top

What happens if my plans change and I forget to change or cancel my reservations? Will I be charged?

- Please contact us immediately as this is also considered as NO SHOW and doesn't entitle you to any refund. However, you can explain your situation and we will assist you in the best possible way to minimize the charge of the hotel. Top

How long does it take to process the refund?

- The refund process normally takes 15-45 days depending on each banking system. If you have any questions about the refund, please contact us at any time. Top

Children

Why do I need to enter the age of my child?

- This information will be forwarded to the hotel as some hotels have restrictions regarding children. Top

What is the child policy?

- Children (2-11 years) can stay free of charge with their parents using existing beds. No free extra bed (or rollaway) and no meal is provided for a child in normal cases. The child’s breakfast is normally 50% of the adult’s rate.
In case you require an extra bed for your child (2-11 years old), the three person rate applies, which means that you have to select “3 adults” instead of "2 adults and 1 child" in the reservation form. Once you reserve under the rate for 3 adults, you will also get 3 breakfasts, unless stated otherwise.

We have two small children; can we get extra beds in the room?

- Yes. 2 adults and 2 small children (under 12 years old) can stay in one room with one extra bed (it's called triple room).
To make a reservation for your family, you have to make a reservation based on 3 adults. You get 3 breakfasts in this case, unless stated otherwise. Top

Can I generally request an extra bed for a third person in a double room and at what costs?

- An extra bed in a double/twin room can be requested. Select 3 adults when you make a reservation and you will get the rate based on a double room plus an extra bed (triple). Top

Are cribs available?

- Cribs or cots are available on request, subject to availability. Top

What is the advantage for making a prepaid reservation?

- Most importantly, making a prepaid reservation will get you the cheapest rates available. Also, as your credit card is charged at the moment you make the booking everything is confirmed and arranged for you immediately. Furthermore, if the hotel rate should rise after you made a prepaid reservation this will not affect the rate you paid at the time of the booking. Top

Can I earn points in hotel loyalty programs when booking through Excelloz.com?

- It depends. Upon check-in you have to present your loyalty program that you want to use to the hotel. Please check beforehand with the hotel if you will be able to earn credit towards your program. Top

Is my personal data safe on Excelloz.com?

- Yes. 100%. We will never sell, give away or use your personal information in any way except to send you our monthly newsletter. Top

What are the differences between Standard, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite?

- Standard: A lesser quality, lower priced room at a hotel

Superior: A higher quality room compared to the standard room but still reasonably priced

Deluxe: These are normally the best equipped and appointed units in a hotel

Junior Suite: A hotel room that features a separate living-sitting area (although not a separate room), in addition to the bedroom

Suite: An accommodation comprising more than one room; occasionally a single large room with clearly defined sleeping and sitting areas Top

What are single, twin or triple rooms?

- Single rooms are for one person.

Twin rooms are for 2 persons ( regardless if adult or child).

Triple rooms are for 3 persons ( regardless if adult or child). Top

Can I specify where I would like my room to be located (preferred floor, next to the pool, etc.)?

- Yes, you can. However, please keep in mind that all are subject to availability at the hotel upon arrival. Top

Am I better off reserving my hotel well in advance or at the last minute?

- Making a reservation in advance gives you the best choices. Top

How long in advance can I make a reservation?

- You can make a reservation 6 months in advance. However, you will have to remember that you have made the reservation!!! Top

How do I know if the room rate includes breakfast?

- The breakfast will be mentioned in the room category that you select. Top

What if I want to reserve a room category that is not mentioned on the website?

- You can contact us for this specific information so that we can contact the hotel in this special case. Top

What is the check-in time and check-out time?

- Check in time: 14.00 hours (or later in some hotels)

Check out time: 12.00 hours Top

How can I request an early check-in or late check-out time?

- You can request early check-in or late check-out with us during the online reservation process. However, this entire request is not guaranteed.
Late check-out up to 6pm is normally half day charge and after 6pm is another full night charge. Sometimes the hotel will allow free of charge late check-out at 2pm.
Early check-in is possible at around 12.00 hours, subject to room availability. If you would like to guarantee early check-in, normally the hotel will require you to reserve one night in advance. Top

Do you have transfer arrangements available?

- Transfer is not included in the rate. However, if you require a transfer, you can contact us for more information. In normal cases, we recommend you to use the service at the airport which is available at all times in most countries. Top

What is half board and full board?

- Half board: 2 meals (mainly breakfast and either one lunch or one dinner)

Full board: 3 meals Top

What kind of breakfast is available at specific hotels?

- Normally, the hotels will provide American breakfast. Top

If I want to make a reservation for my family, can I use my credit card to pay for them?

- Yes, you can use your credit card for making bookings for other people. However, do not forget to change the guest’s name if you use your own log–in. Top

Who can I contact if I have a problem with my reservation at the hotel?

- You can contact us anytime. Top

Why don't I get a confirmation of my reservation via email?

- The email might go to your spam filter if you filter for the spam folder. However, you can just easily sign in to your account and see your reservation details Top

What is Day Use room?

- A Day Use room is for usage during a specific time during the day only (normally 6 hours long). Especially hotels nearby airports will often offer this special use of their rooms. How accurate are the hotel locations on the Google map?

- The hotels that are plotted on the Google map you see on Excelloz.com were located using GPS data. The locations are normally correct but due to technical limitations it can happen that some points might be off several meters. Also, be aware that the satellite imagery is normally not up-todate 100% but about 1 year old. That means that some newer hotel buildings are not visible on the map yet even though the pointers are set correctly by us.
