The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi Hotel is designed using many features of the famous Lanna Thai period style. This includes temple like structures and beautiful colonial style buildings which provide the utmost luxury and comfort.
The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi has a lot of facilities to offer to its guests that. That includes for example several top quality restaurants serving French, Chinese, Thai and Western food. Besides there are several wellness facilities available including a swimming pool and Spa. The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi Hotel is well equipped for all kinds of meetings including business or private gatherings.
The guest rooms of the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi Hotel are beautifully appointed and designed. All of the units come with individually controlled air conditioning, IDD telephone, in-room safe, TV, private bathroom, hairdryer, separate shower and writing desk.
Located in the North of Thailand in Chiang Mai, the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi is ideally situated for a relaxing but also exciting holiday. Many activities can be undertaken in Chiang Mai city and the surrounding area such as sightseeing, elephant trekking or visiting the hill tribe people.
Until recently, the main lobby has been under construction but this is completely finished now. Some interiors of the building will now start to be renovated starting from June 2006. Construction will be finished by September 2006.

Hotel Rooms
The rooms of the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi come in a wide variety of categories in order to ensure that you can find the perfect one for you. All guest rooms are equipped with the latest amenities and feature numerous luxurious enhancements. The following room categories are available:
Colonial Suite
The Colonial Suites feature either a King or Twin Bedroom. The living room gives you access to 22 square meter (235 square feet) terrace with a great view over the beautiful garden. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower cabin. Overall, the Colonial Suite is 88 square meters large (964 sq. ft.).
Deluxe Colonial Suite
The Deluxe Suites in the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi have their own kitchen and breakfast area. A large 40 square meter (425 sq. ft.) terrace is overlooking the beautiful gardens. The bedroom has a walk-in closet and dressing area. The Deluxe Colonial Suite is 107 square meters (1150 sq. ft.) large.
Grand Deluxe Colonial Suite
The Grand Deluxe Colonial Suite Chiang Mai offers you a choice of King Size or Twin beds and also provides connecting rooms if required. The private verandah has fantastic views onto the swimming pool area and the Grand Deluxe Colonial Suite has wooden floors and high ceilings. You will be able to enjoy all this luxury in true style.
Deluxe Two-Bedroom Colonial Suite
The Deluxe Two-bedroom Colonial Suite is ideally suited for families and groups. These units have an entrance hall and a living room with a large 50 square meters (538 sq. ft.) terrace. Two bedrooms are available which both have bathrooms, walk-in closets and pantry. The total size of the Deluxe Two-Bedroom Colonial Suites is 252 square meters (2709 sq. ft.).
Pavilion
The standard pavilion has a living area, a terrace and a King size bed. The décor is reminiscent of old colonial times when people lived in true luxury. This and the Northern Thai style make for a truly beautiful accommodation.
Villa
For these guest units, an authentic Thai rice barn has been converted into this luxurious teak wood villa. The Villas have two levels, the living area being on the ground floor and the bedroom on the upper floor. Connected to the upper floor is a terrace overlooking the gardens. The size of the Villas varies from 75 to 150 square meters (806 to 1606 sq. ft.).
Deluxe Villa
The Deluxe Villa is another 2-level unit like the Villa but with an additional Thai Sala attached from which you have a good overview of the nearby rice fields. Besides the living room, there is also a massage room downstairs. Upstairs, the bedroom can be found which features high ceilings and a walk-in closet. The size varies from 185 to 250 square meters (1870 to 1980 sq ft.).
Deluxe Villa with outdoor Jacuzzi
These Deluxe Villas are between 175 and 235 square meters in size (1870 to 2515 sq. ft) and feature a private Jacuzzi for total relaxation.
Deluxe Villa with Pool
The Deluxe Villa with Pool provides maximum living space and luxury. Perfectly suited for honeymooners, these Villas have their own outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The Deluxe Villa with Pool also features an in-room massage area and a terrace upstairs. The whole living area is 244 square meters large (2623 sq. ft.).
Grand Deluxe Villa with Plunge Pool
The Grand Deluxe Villa with plunge pool is a 200 square meter (2150 sq. ft.) Villa that is facing the surrounding rice fields and features a dining room, steam shower, massage area and a private outdoor plunge pool with an area for sunbathing. The bedroom is equipped with a King sized bed and the bathroom has a special Jacuzzi tub.
Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villa
The Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villa are ideally suited for smaller families or groups traveling together. Two Deluxe Villas are located on the same compound, each unit having its own living room and a choice of King or Twin sized beds. All features of the Deluxe Villas can be found here, too. The only parts shared are the massage areas and the sun deck. Together, the living space adds up to 350 square meters (3762 sq. ft.).
Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villa with Pool
The Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villa with Pool are identical to the Deluxe Two-Bedroom Villas but have an additional Swimming Pool. The size of these units is 350 square meters (3762 sq. ft.).
Residence with Pool
The Residence Suite is equipped with a pool and Jacuzzi and the bedroom comes with a King sized bed and a walk-in closet. The bathroom is equipped with a shower stall and steam shower. The size of these suites varies from 180 to 277 square meters (1930 to 2960 sq. ft.).
Deluxe Residence with Pool
These palace style suites feature a King sized beds and luxurious bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and separate shower cabins. From the master bedroom you can reach the private swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Finally, there is a large living room and a separate dining area with pantry. Overall, the Deluxe Residence with Pool is 125 square meters large (1340 sq. ft.).
Two-Bedroom Residence with Pool
The Two-Bedroom Residence with Pool has one room with a King sized bed and another one with a Twin bed. People can be accommodated and as a special, this residence features a private swimming pool which is reachable from both bedrooms. The spacious living area has a Grand Piano and separate pantry. It provides stunning views overlooking the nearby rice paddies that surround the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi.
Deluxe Two-Bedroom Residence with Pool
These residences feature two separate Twin and Kin sized bedrooms which are both designed and appointed well. The outdoor terrace gives you a place to relax and the Deluxe Two-Bedroom Residence with Pool also features an indoor massage area. From the two master bedrooms, a walkway leads you out to the private swimming pool. Overall, these residences have 250 square meters living space (2675 sq. ft.).
Spa Penthouse Suite
The Spa Penthouse Suite follows a unique style and concept. It provides a majestic way of living and the private Spa is the most special feature of this suite. In the private Spa you have access to a treatment room and exercise room where you can pamper yourself in the privacy of your room.
The Spa Penthouse Suite also has a living room, a dining room, pantry and bedroom with King sized bed. The Spa Penthouse Suite is 373 square meters large (3990 sq. ft.).
Royal Villa
The Royal Villa is the top of the line accommodation at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi Hotel. The palace style architecture has everything and more that you could ever desire and presents everything in the greatest style.
The Royal Villa features a living room, dining room with pantry, six bedrooms (3 King sized beds, 3 Twin sized beds).The villa has 3 private pools and Jacuzzis. The size is 644 square meters (6890 sq. ft.).

The Mandarin Oriental Dhara Devi Hotel is situated on a 60 acres property that comprises rice paddies, tropical gardens and beautiful landscapes. The hotel can be reached conveniently from the Chiang Ma International Airport.
