The main street in Cannes is the "Croisette" that is the street separating the hotels and the beach from each other. Outside of the building, you can find many imprints from the hands of many French and Hollywood stars.

The Croisette stretches for 3 kilometers and features beautiful flower gardens, palm trees and even a sea water health spa. After a walk down the Croisette, one can get back to the city center by taking the famous rue d'Antibes.

The beaches along the Croisette are almost all private and belong to the hotels that line the street but there are also some public beaches available. Also, from Cannes, you can reach Lerin Islands in about 15 minutes by boat. They comprise 2 islands with an abbey and an old fort. Cannes is not a large city so staying at the Cannes Palace hotel let's you travel to all other parts of the city with ease.

Some attractions of the new Cannes are Haute Ville where you can climb Mont Chevalier to see a breath taking view of Cannes from the top. Rue Meynadier is bustling all day long and probably the best shopping area in Cannes. Vieux Port, the old port, has many fishers going after their work and at the Albert Edouard Pier you can see some of the most beautiful yachts in the world. From here, you can make out the islands of Ste Marguerite and Ste Honorat. It's only about 20 minutes to reach either of them.

Other important attractions include the Russian Church Alexandre III, museum de la Castre, museum dela mer but also the fruit and vegetable markets or the Royal Regatta in September each year.

All you have to do is enquire at the bus station or directly on the bus to buy the ticket of your choice.

Cannes Palace, it was a good 4 star hotel in Cannes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I wanted to eat out one evening and enquired at the reception about a good place to go to. I got suggested a nice little French restaurant that was exactly what I was looking for. My room was nicely furnished
